I started a branch (see https://github.com/apo-mak/streisand/tree/18.04-pach) with the goal of making the Streisand install in a Ubuntu 18.04 server.

i am currently running the script against two Ubuntu VM's hosted on a Microsoft hyper-v server and fixing or patching any error that are coming up.
my plan is to try to minimize and beautify the code when no more error's are showing up.

i am happy to create a pull request on the main repo in a similar 18.04-patch branch.

any requests or suggestions are welcomed.

There is already a WIP branch for 18.04. See here: #1453

Seems like supporting 18.04 doesn't make much sense at this point since 20.04 has been released.

Greetings awesome developers!

thank you so much for this project. its' been few years that I have been testing Ubuntu and Debian based distros, and I will be very honest to you all, Debian/Ubuntu is really not a good choice for any development, the issues is their update cycle, it breaks more often, it's a very Microsoft attitude. I found CentOS (AlmaLinux --now)/ Manjero (ArchLinux) more stable in terms of their update cycle. Instead of building the new version of Streisand on Ubuntu, please consider AlmaLinux or Manjero or ArchLinux or even OpenBSD (if possible), these distros tend to stay more stable than Ubuntu (Microsoft).
