Social Icons not working

Hi there!

Looking to use this awesome looking theme for a new, free service we're trying to setup. However, we can't figure out how to use the Mastodon logo in the socials.

Possibly that's related to the font awesome changes that are apparently needed according to PR #77 we've found.

Is there any way of getting those icons to work?

Unfortunately using the Masterdon logo is not supported.
I also have no idea how to update font awesome 😅 and the linked PR is quite old.
Feel free to submit a new PR if you like 🙃

I'll try but quite a lot changed in Font Awesome land, including them paywalling some stuff.

Maybe we can change the code to work with any icons we provide in static? 🤔

That seems possible... I don't know if I'll have time though. The project I'm using your theme for is quite time consuming.

But I overrode the css.html and footer.html partials to use https://boxicons.com/ for my social icons. Works like a charm.
