Not all methods provided by Preconditions2 are annotated with @CanIgnoreReturnValue. The outer package is annotated with @CheckReturnValue. And usage of those checks without utilizing of the returned value causes a compilation error.

The corresponding methods in [2.x] branch are already allowed to ignore the returned values.
