Initializing iTunes platform

Not sure if this is a known issue, but it just sits idle and says "Initializing iTunes platform". How long should that process take?

I'm having the same issue - any benchmarks for initialization time?

Hmm.. Is iTunes starting? Does it finish starting (e.g. look at the GUI)? It's worth noting that iTunes won't launch unless the user that homebridge is running as is logged in. So you can't do this on a headless machine, without someone logged in at least via screen sharing/remote desktop.

ITunes starts just fine - the device in question is a 2013 iMac; not trying anything too fancy :-P
