No video playing or downloading on Android 4.4

Tested on some Android 4.4 devices with Skytube and Skytube Legacy, you can see video selection and search results, but when you try to view or download a video, playing or downloading never starts.

Preferences > Video Player > Try newer Video formats <-- uncheck to disable, because older OS vers./devices don't support the dash format (separate A/V), which IDK why is even enabled by default in the Legacy, anyway, many videos might still not play/dl, like ones from whole channels, like they don't for me.

This is a very good player that does not play videos.
