When I put a song or other music track (mp3 or m4a) in the /sdcard/Music folder, it is not seen by this app. Only when I click 'Rescan media' then after a few minutes it is recognized.
Before it is recognized, when I try to play it from another file browser (e.g. FileManager+) and click on 'Open with...' and select Simple Music Player, the SMP plays a different track. Weird.
I could understand the 'Rescan media' mandate when the song is in a non-media folder (the app has only access to media files), but it is obvious that an app like yours which does have media access, should be able to read any media file in folders like Music or Videos.
Device: Nothing phone 2a, Android 14.
