Error: java.lang.lllegalArgumentException when attempting to delete on SD card via USB-C Reader

Hi,

Recently bought a Ugreen 2 in 1 USB-C/TF Card Reader (the aluminium body one) for my Samsung S21 5G.

The card reader is functional, and I included the folders from it in the Gallery settings. The images I am attempting to delete are Sony A7II RAW files, so .arw. The Gallery app has no trouble loading them.

But I encountered an error when trying to delete a file, which seems to be cut off regardless of the screen orientation:

Error: java.lang.lllegalArgumentException: All requested items mus..

I think this is

Error: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: All requested items must be Media items

The Gallery app has all the appropriate permissions from what I can see. The SD card is functional (also new), and can be written/read to. It's not in Lock.

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?
