I came across this project in my research for how to perform a home silent party with live DJ, which happens to be me.
I made my own Icecast-based setup by using a much more powerful hardware than a Raspberry Pi, VLC app on mobile devices and Traktor on the djing laptop. All connected to local Wifi N network
As working, it works. But.... damn latency!
Clients receive music with a delay from 15 seconds up to a minute
I want to ask if this project took this into account and tried to synchronize audio across clients and reduce delay from source when live feed is being used. I'm asking this because we used the same technology

I’d also be interested in wether or not all clients are receiving the audio in sync.
Imho I think not, since the receiving player(browser) handles the input and will therefore buffer the stream independently.
Is this assumption correct?
