Can I modify the value of FNM_MULTISHELL_PATH?

In the settings of fnm env, can I modify the value of FNM_MULTISHELL_PATH?
When I set a new value for FNM_MULTISHELL_PATH in the environment variables, it seems to have no effect.
The package data installed by npm is still located in the default path %user%\AppData\Local\fnm_multishells.
