How does it work

You need to buy a basic premium that is by law, required. The health insurance is always payed backwards from the date that you registered in The Netherlands and you can use it before choosing a provider.

Deductible

The Deductible is the maximum amount that you have to pay before the insurance starts to pay for your care. It is based on the calendar year. You can choose the Deductible up to 885 euro depending on the provider.

Example: Your Deductible is €385 (minimum allowed) and you had a surgery that costs €500, you will need to pay €385 and your insurance will pay €115

Personal note, I have chosen the 500 euro deductible because I am young and I don't have any known health problems, therefore I pay only 78,50 € per month on Anderzorg
