How do I learn to contribute

Hey man, amazing work! Your collection of ideas here is exactly what I needed to inspire a project of mine I've been working on. I want to be able touse this Colorizer on a CoreXY system for super fast prints. I see that it's not available yet, but I would love to learn how I can learn to develop this kind of functionality. Can you recommend how I can get involved in this? I have some very basic C knowledge (mostly arduino stuff) but I'm willing to put in the time to finally learn the code for 3d printers. Thanks a lot!!
