We have a page
"Upload and Download Data in Bulk"
https://docs.synapse.org/articles/uploading_in_bulk.html
But it only talks about using programmatic clients. You can also download multiple files by:

visit the page for a file
Select Download Options > Add to download list
Repeat 1, 2 for multiple files
Click view download list
Enter a file name for the zip file
Click create package
Click download package
