@mdsage1 :

Can we default the command execution to indicate the Status as “Upcoming” in Synapse? There’s no reason I can think of that we’d build a Synapse page for a completed or even active challenge. Organizers will need time to complete the synapse documentation prior to a challenge progressing to an active status.

@vpchung I don't see why not. I would think both active and completed challenges should already have Synapse pages.

Good point.

The reason why I didn't do set it by default was in the case the organizers didn't want the page on the portal yet. But perhaps we could add a private flag to optionally "hide" the challenge.
