Hi

I wanted to ask if it's possible to reconnect to the Wifi while in SEB. My students sometimes lose connection and then I have to quit SEB and reconnect, but their work is oftentimes lost. Is there a way to reconnect and while in SEB or not lose their work?

Thanks in advance!

If you have the WiFi control active in SEB for Windows, you should be able to use that to reconnect to WiFi, see manual.

Is there a way to make it so that it is enabled by default upon installation?

By default the Wifi control is not displayed, maybe we should change the default. For now you have to include that setting in the exam settings you're using with SEB (or use an according client config if that's how you start exams).

That would be pretty great!
We've had some issue with the access points where the connection gets interrupted and this can't be seen in SEB itself. Same when they accidentally press the "Airplane Mode" button on the keyboard.
Students do not have access to configure SEB and this affects upwards of 10,000 students/machines(so we're not doing it manually...). The computers are domain joined and SEB itself is pushed out to the machines, so I was wondering if there was something that could be done in the packaging of the program. If there's a settings file of some kind that can enable it by default when installed.
In the system that is used to create the tests there is no option to enable the WiFi setting. :(

You can distribute a client configuration with the setting enabled, see https://safeexambrowser.org/windows/win_usermanual_en.html#ConfigFilePane as well as https://safeexambrowser.org/windows/win_usermanual_en.html#AppearancePane.
