Confusion of URIs with hostnames

Describe the bug

Various components refer to URIs when really requiring a Hostname, causing spurious use of http: in places.

To Reproduce

Seen when configuring PACS servers to interact with.

Expected behavior

Servers are identified by hostname, not URI: http: should not be seen or used.
