Rational for Python

This project is being built so that anyone can implement the strategies. With this in mind, there are going to be people who will need to go to their IT department and ask for certain items to be added to the computers. What I am looking for is a simple rundown of Python so that if a person who has never used it before has to go to their IT department to ask for it they can intelligently explain to them why they need it. Instead of saying something like "Well this process requires it so give it to me".
