What kinds of utilities & functionality Should we include with SBTCVM's desktop?

so far we have most of the basics covered. (task manager, file manager, console, system & math shells, etc.)

aside from finishing the incomplete pinboard and file manager, what other tools, builtins and features should be added? Perhaps load and save dialogs of some sort?

Uh... posted most of my thoughts under the v2 question. I particularly wrote that I'd like to assemble from the launcher.

As to finishing the file manager, there's no huge terrible missing things for me. The biggest is the fact that it doesn't notice new troms until the whole launcher is restarted. I don't see myself creating 10 troms in 20 minutes any time soon, so it's non-terrible. :)

I suppose scrolling would be next. Maybe it would help to create a general-purpose scrollable field. I don't know though, too much general-purpose-ness can make a tool hard to use.

well, on scrolling, the category windows already had automatic scrolling support, though i did tweak it a bit to be a bit smoother.
