Contributing to IoT Starter Kit

We are happy you contribute to our source code in order to make IoT Starter Kit better. Here are the guidelines we would like you to follow:

Submission Guidelines

Submitting an Issue

Before you submit an issue, please be so kind and search the IoT Starter Kit issues archive or SAP Community Network (SCN) first, maybe your question was already answered there.

If your issue appears to be a bug, and hasn't been reported yet, open a new issue. Please, do not submit duplicate issues. Providing as much details as possible will help us to localize the problem and help you faster. Here is a list of the information we would expect from you:

  • Description of the Issue - a brief description of what has happened
  • SAP Cloud Platform Landscape - either Trial or Productive
  • SAP Cloud Platform Account ID - an account ID where an issues occurs
  • MMS / RDMS Version - a version of the currently used SAP Cloud Platform Internet of Things components
  • Runtime - a runtime being used (Java, Python, JS etc)
  • Browsers and Operating System - browser and OS version
  • Related Issues - has a similar issue been reported before?
  • Suggested Fix - if you can't fix the bug yourself, probably you can point to what might be causing the problem

After an issue is fixed, please confirm and close it.

Before you submit your pull request consider take the following guidelines into consideration:

  • Search GitHub for an open or closed Pull Request that relates to your submission. You don't want to duplicate effort.
