Writing a character name in the character search box to tag characters not working on clicking

Ok let me explain it easier here.

I type in the same say: "Bob Ross" in the search for characters box, his name pops up with his avatar; I click on it, nothing happens, the fcharacter is not tagged, the name still shows up in the search box

What should happen is the character becomes tagged like it used to.

Apparently this only works for moderators and staff on the site, Otherwise I have to move via chat to get from place to place and I am not really a fan of that
