I used your build scripts to patch + cross-compile + package 4.1.18-bone20 on x86. Great work by the way. I'm writing a kernel module which requires the network driver to be modified; I cross-compiled basically only to save time. The idea is to build the modified kernel once and then continue developing against it on the board.
BBB boots fine and my module also builds, but any locally built modules greet me with a segfault when I try loading them. I locally ran "make scripts" because some of the tools were not cross-compiled, but this made no difference.
Other than building the kernel on the BBB itself, do you know if there is an easy solution to this problem? Any pointers? Could this be a gcc version mismatch or something similar? Should I be using any special make flags?
Many thanks,
Wojciech
