Commands

  • get-option
  • set-option
  • list-options
  • delete-option
  • reset-options

The precedence for options/settings is:

  • command-line > options > config

Settings should include

  • config-file path
  • config profile
  • host, port
  • database
  • engine

.. and we might also want a list-settings command.

Could standard environment variables such as RAI_PROFILE, RAI_DATABASE, RAI_ENGINE be considered as well?

yes, all add an additional item for env var support.
