This is not true at present. We've just pushed out a major revision with a huge number of features. I suggest installing redcapAPI 2.7.1. Checkout: vignette("redcapAPI-best-practices")

Cool. Thanks for the news. We have a documentation tweak mostly completed. We will add this. Unfortunately, I am traveling for the next month. So I don't know the release date yet.
