If you need an introduction to Modelica, we recommend Michael Tiller's free online book Modelica by Example. Furthermore, we recommend the Modelica Tutorial. Although it is for an older version (Modelica 1.4), it is still instructive and relevant to understand the concepts of the language.
Spoken tutorials for beginners are available for OpenModelica.
