Describe the bug

On an iPad running iPadOS 18.2.1, attempting to open a message by tapping on it fails to trigger the expected action. Instead of opening the message, the touch gesture causes the page to scroll. This issue occurs consistently in both Safari and Edge browsers on an iPad Pro.

Expected Behavior:
Tapping on a message should open it, displaying the corresponding content on the right panel.

Observed Behavior:
Tapping on a message causes the page to scroll, and the message does not open.

Feed Info

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Open Follow.is on an iPad running iPadOS 18.2.1.
  2. Use either Safari or Edge browser.
  3. Tap on a message in the list to open it.
  4. Observe that the touch gesture triggers a scroll action instead of opening the message.

Reproduction Video

Video Description:
In the video, the user taps on multiple messages in the list, attempting to open them. However, each time a message is tapped, the page scrolls instead of displaying the message in the content panel.
