Hello,
I am runing Raspi4 (8GB) with RasiOs 64-Bit Lite edition without desktop. I have also Hifi Berry (DAC2 HD).
The kernel is 6.6.62+rpt-rpi-v8.
Now the problem:

  • When runnig the system with Luks encrypted root partition, raspi4 did not recognize the hifi berry dac2 hd. Only the on board components: (bcm2835 HDMI 1 and bcm2835 headphones) were recognized.

  • When runing with no encryption of the root partition everything is fine and works as supposed.

Just for your informations, perhaps it helps: I also have raspi5 with Hifi Berry (DAC2 HD) and Luks encripted partition the kernel, of course is 6.6.62+rpt-rpi-2712. Everything here is fine.

What can I do?

On the Raspi 4 I subtracting the two file systems (encrypted/unencrypted) these binaries can be compared, all relevant files are IDENTICAL...

I thing the problem must be in the kernel.
I thing I need some support :-)

Thanks in advance

Just some additional information:
I'm using Luks type 2 with xchacha20,aes-adiantum-plain64
I'm trying Raspi Os Debian Bookworm 64 bit (Lite) and 32 bit (Lite)
both with the same result. Luks and hifi berry on raspi4 did not work together...
