Review Error Messages / App Output

With the progress bar and stdout, it's a bit tricky, but I think we can overwrite lines and keep in place.

Also it needs to be reviewed for try catch and return results for issues from the functions. I added some try catch in some of the for loops but will likely need more with better error messaging for more robust debugging.
