Authorlist as expandable symbol

The author list can take a lot of space and is visual clutter. It would be nicer to have a symbol near the title which can be clicked or hovered over to reveal the list of authors.
The symbol itself could show by color whether someone you follow is part of the authors and if you are yourself part of the authors.

I suggest a standard group of people symbol (with orange borders to indicate interactivity) that can be yellow if followees are authors, and one blue guy if you are yourself an author.
