How to file a helpful issue

The problem you're addressing (if any)

It is easier and more common to find a package version with PROGRAM --version option rather than rpm -qf $(which PROGRAM). For debugging and support matters.

The solution you'd like

Add --version option to Qubes programs. It is easy to implement and hopefully easy for review.

The value to a user, and who that user might be

Ordinary users who are seeking support and others who are providing support.
