I would love to use a GUI Desktop editor for Pelican websites :)

There are already desktop markdown editors. Maybe you can describe in-depth what you've in mind?

I am not just thinking of a markdown editor, I am talking something like this project : http://rednotebook.sourceforge.net/

Where you can easily add posts, review them, search for them chronologically.

It can also be used to manage pelican plugins and themes for pelican websites.

Nice. I think "Pelican IDE" is a better description
