We currently require that each git commit be signed with Developer Certificate of Origin (DCO). It frequently trips up first-time contributors to the repository, and seems to have some bugs: #2163 (comment).
I wanted to create this discussion to see if there were any alternatives? For example, would it be sufficient to add the following to the pull request template?
