The BuddyTrail leadership team is responsible for ensuring that the Code of Conduct is followed and will take fair, appropriate action against any behavior that violates these guidelines.
We reserve the right to moderate or remove comments, contributions, and interactions that do not align with this Code of Conduct. Leaders will also provide explanations for their decisions when necessary.
This Code of Conduct applies across all BuddyTrail spaces, both online and offline. Whether you’re contributing to the project in our forums, representing us at events, or sharing updates via official channels, this Code of Conduct still applies.
When making contributions to BuddyTrail—including pull requests—please ensure that they reflect the values of this Code of Conduct. Submissions that include inappropriate behavior, language, or content may be rejected, and further enforcement actions may follow.
Should you experience or witness any unacceptable behavior, we encourage you to report it to the community leaders at [insert reporting details here]. All reports will be handled swiftly, fairly, and with respect for the privacy and safety of those involved.
The BuddyTrail team will follow these guidelines when determining the consequences for violations:
Community Impact: Inappropriate language or unprofessional behavior.
Consequence: A private, written warning will be issued, explaining why the behavior is inappropriate and how it can be corrected. A public apology may be requested.
Community Impact: Repeated or more serious violations, either isolated or ongoing.
Consequence: A formal warning with restrictions on interaction, including avoiding contact with the person(s) involved and refraining from participation in BuddyTrail for a specified period. Violating this may lead to a temporary or permanent ban.
Community Impact: Significant violations, such as sustained inappropriate behavior.
Consequence: Temporary ban from all community interactions for a specific period. Further violations during this time could result in a permanent ban.
Community Impact: Severe violations, including ongoing harassment or aggression toward members or specific groups.
Consequence: Permanent ban from all community involvement and interactions.
