Slow responses

Some of the responses are surprisingly and unusably slow. Even very small json responses with only a handful of attributes take 1.5s or more, which for an API seems slow (especially given the minimal amount of work it's doing), and would seem to make it problematic for someone like Collex to actually harvest large amounts of data. The contributor CSV export in the new Palladio instructions consistently takes 20-30 seconds to download, and one that takes 30 seconds only has 22 lines of data.
