The beta client update that dropped today added a nav handler to enable/disable dev mode which brings an easier access to cef remote debugging
steam://devmode/enable & steam://devmode/disable (dev mode "status" isn't kept between restart but i guess cef debug is still enabled without it)

Could be worth it to mention it in the instructions
