The idea is good, but the setup is wrong for us

Hello!
Thank you for your student submission plugin. However, we have a problem with the way it is set up.

Moodle has 'submission-plugins' that enable it so that you can use the normal Moodle assignment activity, but set it up for different kinds of submission. Mahara for example has been using this, but there are other options found here: https://moodle.org/plugins/browse.php?list=category&id=42

You programmed a 'new activity'. But this new activity will probably never have all the options a regular Moodle assignment has. Also, we synchronize our assignment grades to an external system. Using this Panopto-made activity, our grades are not synchronized.

Is it possible to change this 'activity-plugin' into a moodle assignment-submission plugin and benefit of all the options the Moodle assignment has (including multiple attempts, group date overrides, etc.)

Thanks! If you have questions, please let me know. I think you could really improve the panopto video submission this way and in the mean time spare yourself a lot of work for developing your own activity plugin.
