In the section, "Using Provided Tilesets," the reader is supposed to add an instance of the Player scene to the LevelBase scene. But the reader is never asked to remove the instance of the Player scene from the Main scene we created earlier. So, when the suggestion is made to move the SpawnPoint around in the Level01 scene, the original Player from the Main scene steals the show and hogs the camera.

I could see that I had two players- one at the new SpawnPoint and one that stayed at the original spawn point, but I couldn't figure out why I had both. Eventually, I realized that I still had a Player scene instance in Main and that was causing the problem.

I recommend that when you ask the reader to add the Player scene instance to the LevelBase scene that you also specify that the Player scene must be removed from the Main scene.
