Search form validation with first field left blank scrolls view to quirky position

If you try to submit the form at "Find a stop" with the first field left blank, the view jumps almost to the top but not quite, with the first field still unintentionally covered by the navigation bar:

This could surprise a user. I tried this in several different browsers.
