Email panels' speakers #29
Comments
I already e-mailed them and most have responded. I'll e-mail them again to specify the license info. If they want us to put them on Zenodo would the slides go on our website as well as Zenodo? |
I think to go on Zenodo they'd need to be made into a ppt or pdf? I have never done it. I have only put mine on Figshare, but Leslie recommended Zenodo. I would not feel comfortable sharing the google slide link without a license and I don't think you can attach one to gslides. Robin must know more about this. Let's wait for her comment. |
cool. I'm just not sure if all of them will be familiar with Zenodo, so I would want to make sure to describe it in an e-mail and request their permission a second time to do that |
@dasaderi all of my panelists agreed to sharing their slides on the website. let me know if you want me to ask them about Zenodo as well |
hey @dasaderi & @rchampieux some people are asking me about when presentation slides are going to be posted to the website. can I help make this happen? |
Hi @dasaderi and @LuciMoore, I can help make this happen too. Thanks Luci for putting it back on our radar. I'm thinking it might be best to make the speaker slides accessible from each speakers bio and we can note this on the panel descriptions. @dasaderi are Leslie and Kadija's slides in the Drive? |
Hey, guys, I just wanted to follow up. I can e-mail the keynotes to ask for
their slides (and Kadija's transcript) and permission to publish on the
website if that is helpful. thanks!
Luci

Hey, all! Where are we with this? Do we still want to share the
presentations?

Hi Luci,
I think Kadija would be glad to share and Leslie might have already shared
somewhere. If you could email them and ask, that would be grand!

Thanks,

Okay I e-mailed them and will let you guys know |
Kadija sent me her slides, so I can add them to the Drive. Leslie said he is going to publish his slides on Zenodo and will send us the link. |
Kadija's slides are on the drived (https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1svBfIM695iOKERqfZ_5V0K9Kz3otdhq0) and Leslie's slides are on Zenodo: https://zenodo.org/record/2596865#.XI_VfVNKjBJ |
@Bubblbu we want to add the panel and presenter slides to the website. would you be able to do this? if not I can ask @dasaderi. The slides should all be on the drive. Leslie published his slides on Zenodo at: https://zenodo.org/record/2596865#.XI_VfVNKjBJ |
Hey @LuciMoore, sorry I've been swamped the last few weeks. Have seen this and will try to squeeze it in this week. Wondering where and how we should link to the material? In the program and outlinks to the PDFs directly (or the Zenodo repository in the case of Leslie)? |
This PR should have added two links in the program overview. not super happy about that solution, but we've got it online for now sorry for the delay! |
thanks Asura!

Email panelists to thank them and ask for permission to release their slides under CC-BY 4.0 license. Or we can ask them if they want to put them on Zenodo?
@rchampieux @LuciMoore, can you do this in the next couple of days? If not, let me know and I'll do it. Thanks!
