Incorrect rendering for simple subscript and superscript combination in CommonHTML #12

In the CommonHTML when using a very simple equation x^8_9 the rendering is somewhat flawed.

The same example works perfectly in the HTML-CSS output.

This is most likely a MathJax bug, since I have tried it and didn't go well, even without the plugin:
