Similar to the bug report in #5209 if an NAA token is requested that only specifies profile and openid New Outlook for Windows will hard crash.

Based on the other issue my calls are "misconfigured", which I still want to understand more so I've added some new comments to it, but it should not be this easy to crash to desktop.

Given the pain and number of issues with NAA, I have very little confidence with going live with this, that we will not be inundated with issues from our customers. With the February legacy token cut-off date looming I'm very concerned about the quality of implementation across the different Outlook clients.

Your Environment

  • Platform [PC desktop, Mac, iOS, Office on the web]: PC Desktop - New Outlook
  • Host [Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.]: Outlook
  • Office version number: 1.2024.1216.300 (Production).
  • Client Version is 20241213002.09.
  • WebView2 Version is 131.0.2903.112
  • Operating System: Windows 11

Expected behavior

Outlook to at least not crash to desktop.

Current behavior

If requesting only profile and openid scopes Outlook crashes to desktopIn Event Viewer I see:
