Some kind of script which optimises the images on the server could help speed up the website.
Thinks like optimising the quality or removing the EXIF information.

This will be done by hand, since we don't have many images. Most of them in Drupal.
I will document the steps needed to optimise images.

Note, that there are services like Cloudinary, which do a fabulous job on this.
