If you open a window on a new void workspace, move it to another workspace, follow it and open a new window, then both will be opaque.

I was able to reproduce the same bug. I can't look into this bug right now. But I will try to find a way to fix it soon.

Commenting here because I do not know if these two issues are related, however using transparency with picom in i3 applies transparency to all unfocused windows; with this script, running with multiple monitors, the previously focused container on any given workspace remains opaque when the workspace becomes unfocused.
