I was thinking it would be good to focus on finalizing overall website structure and getting a draft of all content. We can fine-tune presentation later.
We can discuss this in tomorrow's meeting and figure out how to best tackle some of these things. Thanks!!!
GLOBAL SCORES / Goal Scores (assuming we reorganize as described in issue # 79 ): I like the idea of dashboard symbol to represent the goal score. Still trying to figure out the best way to represent trends. Current potential idea is to have something like this plot (but, one issue is that these seem to be finicky and I think we need to fuss with each one to get them to look good, which I can do and save as html, if that is something we can work with):
Another idea is the line plots for each country (which I also like, but I think this one might also work really well on the country page?). Or alternatively, a point/line plot with the global scores?
METHODOLOGY / Goals: Each of these pages will require two cards that will link to additional content that dives deeper into the methods. I am getting the additional content together.
RESOURCES / Data: This is in need of serious formatting. I think this might be nice to have as some sort of blog post type thing ...so we can add new data resources easily as they come up.
RESOURCES / Tools: I need to get this content together then maybe we can think about better formatting and such, but maybe the "blog" format where we can add easily will be nice.
General reorganization ideas (discuss these further before doing anything):
GLOBAL SCORES
Country Scores
Goal Scores
Data Download
METHODOLOGY
Methods Overview
Goal Descriptions
Deep Dive
[NOTE: Very tentative plan is to not include "Pressure Description" or "Resilience Description" but rather include the short descriptions in the Goal Scores, but let's leave everything as is for now]
I think the rest of the tabs/pages will remain the same.
NOTES for Mel
Add pressure/resilience section to Goal Description pages
Separate out Goal Scores and Methods
Edit OHI+ goal pages and add in
Consider turning Methods doc into a Bookdown document
Add the interesting content from oceanhealthindex.org to appropriate places.
