Symbology when Start/Stop Editing

When editing is started/stopped, the plot and symbology changes (for editing: black series, square points, display -9999). If the program is newly opened and few (or none) editing steps have been taken, this works well. If several steps and edits have been made, the plot remains in the 'editing' mode even if editing has been stopped.

@AmberSJones Can you provide steps to reproduce this error? I am having a difficult time reproducing this error.

When you initiate the editing, are you doing this from the menu ribbon across the top or do you normally use the right-click edit?

Here are the steps:

1. Plot multiple series.
2. Start editing one of the series.
3. Perform multiple editing steps: selecting points, interpolating, performing linear drift correction, adding qualifiers, changing values, etc.
4. Stop editing the series. This is the result:

It takes quite a few editing steps (or quite a bit of time- not sure which) for this to be problematic. With just a few editing steps, it doesn't occur. Then when I try to put it back in editing mode, it won't plot the series at all. Eventually I turn off the other series and it plots and between edit mode and plot mode without any problem. A little bizarre.

Ok- I got it to happen again. Here's the screenshot. Note that the lasso retains control again when this happens. After making edits to the series, maybe we should warn people that going back to the unedited series would cause loss of those edits unless the series is saved?

We still cannot reproduce this error. @jmeline believes this can be solved by placing the query in a try/catch statement.
