When Error with Saving, Still Writes to Script

When I try to save a series and I get an error, the save commands still write to the script. If there is an error with saving, I don't think that it should write to the script.

Hmm, I still get new_qcl and new_method in the script. Seems like it shouldn't be there at all if the save is unsuccessful. What do you think, @sreeder ?
