The 90% of the code is exactly the same.
There are a couple of build scripts and Cordova plugins used, but the rest is the same

Currently not, it is only available on the releases page of this repository. It is not yet ready for the masses.
How do you think you could contribute ? What are your skills ?

I do React Native. So I was wondering if I could contribute in some way. I am a big fan of CouchDB and now NoteSelf.

Oh, I see.
I looked at RN at first, but the only option to use our current codebase with RN was to embed it into a web view, which I considered. In fact, I made a question on ST about this . For such implementation react-native does not deserve the effort.
However, something that I'been thinking about recently is to build some wrapping menus and stuff before NS is even loaded in RN.
If you have a BitBucket account I can grant you access to the repository where the actual code lives.
