Problem: we would like to create a geographical map on our website that can be updated automatically everytime we update our markdown.

Example:

  • List of events can be visualized on a map (an icon per location with a list of events for this location)
  • List of specialists in the Nordics, with information on the area of expertise

How: we need your competence and are open to any solutions; the only important thing is that our contributors can only update simple markdown files (not complex HTML or javascript).

  • Should we use Javascript such as Leaflet.js?
  • Could we use folium python package?
  • How to automate it?

Help provided: we do not know much about javascript but we know how to generate maps in python (if it helps...). Ping me and I'll try to answer you as quickly as possible.
