Just to clarify, I am trying to connect a fresh installation of Xdrip to an already inserted G7 sensor. Attached |

There is no point in doing anything else if you cannot scan the QR code. Changing the settings is not going to let you get readings without the QR code. Install this version of xDrip: https://github.com/NightscoutFoundation/xDrip/releases/tag/2024.08.02 Download the QR code from the following page onto your phone? Then, follow the instructions under "If camera is not an option" here to scan the QR code you saved to your Download folder: |

If you need Clarity, you need to get Dexcom app going: https://navid200.github.io/xDrip/docs/Dexcom/Clarity.html If you cannot get Dexcom app working on your phone, considering your phone is on the Dexcom compatibility list, you should contact Dexcom and figure out what the cause of the problem is. |

I did press auto-configure, I did turn the open scanner window to landscape mode, I did hold the camera close, I did hold the camera a medium distance away, and I did move the camera further away so the QR code was in focus, I did try holding the red line centrally in the middle of the QR code, I did try holding the red line at the bottom of the QR code, and I did try slowly moving the red line from the base up to the top of the QR code, but no matter where I held it no scan was captured at all - so that is why I asked is there an action I must take or a button I should click to tell it to take a scan, because it simply does not do it automatically. Should it do it automatically and exactly where within the QR code must the red line be placed? |

No, there is no additional action required when it works.
