Rather than pick up the string from the field next to it. The current setup:

Confuses non-technical beginners.
Freezes for a while at 100% CPU if no string exists inside the text field, and later creates a group anyway, which can be renamed (this is the surprising way in which a non-technical user was creating new groups).
