Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe it.
I would not call it a problem (at least not a show stopper) but still, backing up apps with huge external data (for example, Sygic) fills up storage pretty quick. Often I do not need to back up this kind of data.

Describe the primary solution
Provide an option to prevent the back up of external data when this data exceeds a given size (chosen by the user).

Describe alternative solutions, if any
The only alternative I see is not to back up data at all for that app. The problem with this solution is that none of the data is backed up, which is not ideal since it would still be nice to have the rest of the app data backed up. This is also a choice that has to be made on an app-by-app basis, thus complicating the set up process.

System Information (please complete the following information):

  • Device: Google Pixel 7
  • Android Version: 14
  • ROM: (AOSP, MIUI, OOS...) stock
  • App Version: 8.3.8
