My MSi gaming x 3060Ti Lhr detects LHR as soon as it starts.
and the hash rate drops to 30-35. sometimes 25
I don't know what to do as I'm New to GPU mining at least in case of Nvidia GPUs.

image

these are the settings I'm using.
the core is undervolted and set by the curve, cclck fluctuates a lot,
mem is +1100 (7900)
PL 70
driver version is 471.11 studio.

it never gets past 37MHs except the first one.

any kind of help would be much appreciated.

I have the same card (MSI hynix mem).
I used gminer before for this card and get around 36 MHs stable.
Now I switched to NBminer 39.7 with this setting (windows + afterburner) and can get 40 MHs stable.
PL 100%, core 0, mem 925~975 (you can start from 925 and get higher than that, but my card crashes if mem > 1000 mhz), lock core at 1380.

you can click curve editor, then select 1380 MHz on that curve, press letter "l", close curve editor window, and apply changes. It would be better to config msi afterbuner setting first before running NBminer. Hope this helps. Let me know if you can find better settings.

I'm on exactly this setting now.
And getting average 37/38.

Turns out that was the fault of nicehash and server latency and stuff.

Now I'm mining to 2miners.

Well, I increased the PL to 170W but the MH/s didn't change from the PL 130W
My settings :
MSI RTX 3060 TI GAMING X LHR
Drivers : 495.44
Core lock : 1300 but doesn't seems to work (see screenshots)
Mem clock: 1900 (hiveos) / 950 (afterburner)
PL : 170W
Fans : 61%

MH/s : 196 at start then it decrease to 194

For hiveos you can look to this page https://hiveos.farm/install/ it's well explained I just followed the steps and it worked.

i changed bios from 94.04.46.00.DA to msi 3060ti ventus 94.04.46.00.DE and now its 43 mhs stable

Last night I downloaded Msi center to disable the rgb lights.

Maybe from then of before my hashrates started falling now it never goes more then 38 I tried every oc settings.
Nothing happening.
It's worse when I use anything that requires smallest any kind of gpu usage.

Is the bios usable on windows???
Is there any chance of bricking?

I can't say about windows, I did it on hive os, the BIOS is practically the same there, I don't think you can make a brick

Hello! I had the same problem! 34mh on ETH with MSI 3060 Ti LHR Gaming X, 25mh on RVN with the same card.
The solution was to change the BIOS to the one of the Ventus x2 3060 Ti LHR card, I did it in HiveOs.
Mhs rose from 34 to 43 in ETH, and from 25 to 28.5 in RVN.
It is a matter of getting out of fear and doing it! Greetings.

Do you have any tutorial?
Or can walk me through?

I was getting 43 then suddenly it droped to 37 after trying many oc settings and putting a desk fan on the gpu to fight hot air build up and cooling the vram i was able to reach 39-39.41
That's the max I could go.
With hynix mem ofcourse.

Thanks for the links!

Is flashing on windows safe?
It's that my hive is on a usb stick and I'm new to hive and the experience of hive for me is kinda jangky!

I'm still scared for the warranty.
I was able to save for 6month to get the card for 930$😖

I'm gonna add a heat sink on the backplate tomorrow first and see what happens.

Thanks man just flashed the bios.
But cause the ventus is single 8pin card . the system is not showing the 6pin power usage.
wouldnt that be a problem?
in the long run??

@Franco-Borghi

Is not a problem at all. You can use only the 8pin connector and you will see the full power usage.

Hello there…. I too have the MSI Gaming X Duo fans… and have read that the VBIOS needs to be flashed to the Ventus 2…. Did this work out good for you ?

It's working fine.
But now the card thinks its a single 8 power pin card.

So it does not show or monitor the 6pin card in software.

That's where I'm scared.
Cause I've been using a sata to pcie adopter to power my second pin . I couldn't find a Y splitter in my region at least not good ones they are 20awg or more low quality.
I'm a bit confused of what to do.

@Detr0yt94

Yeah, be careful using sata.... so are you even powering with the 6 pin connector? Do you even need it?

I'm having the same issue. I tried flashing it with Ventus BIOS. Works great at first, but after a rig reboot it shows gpu MALFUNCTION and I cannot do anything to make it work. I flashed back the original bios for now and it's working again but didn't fix my hashrate issue. Any help?
